RESEARCH INTERESTS:

Influence of ungulate grazers on carbon and nitrogen cycling and plant community dynamics in grasslands of the western United States (esp. Yellowstone National Park, WY).

Ecological consequences of plant invasions on species interactions, trophic relationships, and nutrient cycling.

Plant community and physiological ecology of wetlands (esp. peatlands and salt marshes).

Application of stable isotopes to trophic interactions and other ecological questions.
