  • BIO 346: Physiological Ecology
    Taught Spring Semesters
    3 credits

    Exploring mechanisms for acquiring materials and energy from, and responding and adapting to, the physical and biological environment. Using predictions, measurements, analysis, and writing to test models of adaptations.
  • BIO 426/626: Functional Animal Ecology
    Taught Fall Semesters
    3 credits
    Animal functions in natural ecological situations studied by quantitative analysis of how integration of oxygen transport, energy use, temperature regulation, movement, foraging and mating influence each other and total organism performance. Seminar format. Additional work required of graduate students.
